  June 15, 2014 - Saw this at a local retailer in DC area and picked it up for dinner. Popped and poured. Bricky ruby color. Nose of anise, licorice, lily, raspberry, soil. Integrated flavors in the tongue, with layers of blackberry, raspberry, iron, earth. Primary fruit mostly replaced by rocky, mineral-laden complexity anchored in serious tannins and moderate acidity. Long finish with lots of persistence. Slowly sneaks up on you and impresses as a completely balanced wine. Wonderful and yet I'm wondering if this particular bottle has evolved too quickly.

  August 31, 2012 - Pretty much everything I'd want from a Chambolle with a core of incredibly pure, fresh red fruited flavours and savoury earthiness accented by sweeter and higher toned floral and spicy elements. There's a sense of real polish and grace here, good depth and a finish that keeps persisting. Lovely wine that has me wondering why I don't own/buy any Geantet-Pansiot.

  April 11, 2010 - a really good bottle of burgundy. great nose. nose betterthan in the mouth. lacking sufficient concentration to be a great wine.

  August 27, 2005 - Burgundy Dinner (Mark & Dawne's): Decanted for one hour prior to tasting. Dark ruby, very forward nose of dirt, mineral and hints of cherry. Surprisingly fruity with an incredibly dry finish. Very expressive. Will be better in a few years.
