May 12, 2024 - Crimson in color. 14.9% ABV. Gorgeous nose of red fruits, cloves and baking spices. Medium body with exquisite acidity. Fresh, elegant and perfectly balanced. Cherry, cranberry, pomegranate and earth on the palate. The finish is long and supple. Stunning Pinot Noir that has aged brilliantly. Best over the next several years.

July 22, 2023 - 4th Saturday Brown Bagger (J&L's): Our penultimate bottle, double decanted off its sediment two hours before the flight was poured. Appears older. Notes of black cherry, spice and game- it has an intriguing meaty quality. Adds a perfumed floral quality as its breathes in the glass. Abundant black cherry fruit on the palate, with a spice-tinged finish. I did not pick this as our bottle as it put on a good bit of weight since it was first opened. Another strong showing for this wine.

August 13, 2022 - Light red color with a touch of bricking. Cherry and spice qualities dominate the nose and palate. Nice, but not at the same level as the best examples of these we have had.

April 23, 2022 - Opening day dinner at the club, double decanted off its sediment a couple of hours before dinner. Cherry and spice tones, a bit less expressive as better bottles that we have had.

March 19, 2022 - Another terrific example of this wine, double decanted off its sediment perhaps ninety minutes before being served double blind to our dinner companions. Aromas of cherry, mineral and rose petals. Elegant and light, with black cherry, spice and the slightest hint of cola on the palate. Feminine and pretty; beautiful. We’re down to four bottles, and I don’t know how long it will take us to go through them, but I’ll be sad to see them go.
