March 10, 2024 - Golden coloured. Fresh and lifted nose of honey, vanilla, kero, pineapple and pear. Palate is lovely, fresh acid mingling with delicate sweetness. Great length and balance. Super.

October 27, 2022 - Tasted double blind from a small capped bottle. People were all over the map with this and called it buttery. This must have influenced me because I guessed Sauternes first. Oh my. It certainly was thicker and more honeyed than the Germans I poured before. Once we narrowed it down to mosel I was able to focus on the peach and apple flavors with some spiciness and get the producer and vineyard. Peachy and ripe but not too ripe - some minerals and spices in there as well honeyed red apples. Palate is forward with great ripeness but also perfect balance - just perfect - pinpoint. Peach red apples, red spices, juicy and potent but light on it’s feet- great cinnamon comes out later and derives into the finish - long and wide. This got better and better with time and air. I thought my 90 Von Schubert was better on the nose but the mouthfeel on this Prum was just divine. Nose - 4.5-5/6, Palate - 5.5/6, Finish - 5.5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1.5/2 = 17-17.5/20.

October 9, 2022 - Sad to see this one go; our last bottle (bought on release). Succulently melded acidity, sweetness, subtle petrol, slate, baked apple, honey, slight spice (nutmeg?) Enjoyed over two days with everything from jalapeno poppers, funky cheese plate, wild mushroom risotto and a prune tart. An elegant wine that whispers--rather than yells out--wise loving words in your ear.
