December 16, 2017 - Medium ruby. Nose of raspberry, cinnamon, violets, earth. Raspberry and iron on the tongue with tangy notes also. Moderate acidity and smooth tannin. Moderately long finish. A bit tired but interesting.

June 9, 2014 - no notes, but was slightly better than my first bottle, as you would expect air helped

April 14, 2014 - Good wine, ready to drink, little to no tannin left, a touch sweet with good fruit and some oak rounding it out, some acid left but not enough to accomplish a sense of grip, rounded and mature and ready

March 28, 2014 - Great bottle that still has the legs to continue. Deep red fruited aromas with florals and some funky minerality. Lost some of its animal character from last bottle, which isn't a bad thing. More refined but still aggressive, drinking great. Tons of depth for a 1er, drinks almost like a grand cru.

March 6, 2010 - Barnyard whiff upon opening, blew off quickly. Black berry fruit and stony soil nose with background whiffs of anise. Substantial acidity buffered by dark fruit and tannins which were in balance but not necessarily refined. Nice sense of terroir, depth and poise but lacking some refinement. I sense this will drink well over the short term, I'll try again in a year or two. Really enjoyable.
