March 24, 2012 - Blueberry, cassis, leather. Silky tannins. Very well balanced. Finished second half with spicy fried chicken (very barbarian, I know) but it held up well, providing a refreshing berry-filled contrast. Delicious.

May 4, 2011 - Opened this and served with peppery pork medallions on a bed of greens with blue cheese crumbles. The pairing was powerful helping to smooth the edges off any bite of pork that was too peppery and opening to the flavor of the cheese crumbles.
By the end of dinner the two of us were talking about who had inspired us in our lives. One of those people we mentioned was the wine maker who truly understands Bordeaux. The others are private, but I'd encourage anyone to have a conversation about inspiration with a bottle of "Inspire".
