January 25, 2012 - What a beautiful wine. Reminds me of the '89 Rouget Echezeaux, it was that good. Earthy, spicy, full-bodied, complex, slightest hint of brett--in a good way, a great wine.

January 6, 2012 - Older Burgs and Barolos Dinner (Chez Keith, San Francisco, California): Bricking medium dark cherry red color; intriguing, mushroom, tart cherry, lightly savory nose; tasty, poised, tart cherry, green herb, mineral, tart black cherry palate with integrating oak ;medium-plus finish 93+ points

October 21, 2011 - Another great '98 Burgundy! I'm becoming a fan of this underrated vintage. I found out that this parcel of Echezeaux used to be owned by DRC. Great complexity with nice tertiary notes. Great body and long finish.

September 26, 2011 - Bricking dark cherry red color; rich but restrained tart cherry, raspberry, sous bois nose; tasty, tight, tart raspberry, sous bois, mineral, savory, toast palate with structure; needs 3-4 more years; medium-plus finish 93+ points

September 6, 2010 - gorgeous and elegant. Light, but not boring. Hint of tar as it opened.
