November 12, 2019 - This gamay has held up remarkably well. I would consider it to be at peak or close to peak. It is perfectly balanced in the mouth and a wonderful compliment to the salmon we cooked.

February 18, 2017 - Fabulous wine. Aromas of red berry, earth, and pine, the wine features luscious Bing cherry and other red fruits upfront that elevates to a laser-like focus when earthy terrior notes fold beautifully into the mix. The wine is so silky smooth with a finish that last 30 plus seconds of cherry goodness slowly fading away so elegantly.
This wine is at peak, fresh and alive, yet graceful and elegant from the 7+ years of bottle age. Incredible QPR at under $20 and too easy to drink. I would say this wine if properly stored will hold from a few more years before fading, amazing for Gamay, that is obviously not the grape we grew up with anymore.

    March 8, 2014 - Nice, feminine Gamay.

July 11, 2013 - This is a serious B-Cru that needs plenty of bottle age. More in the Moulin a Vent category, though lean for the vintage, with very high acidity that settles down a few hours after decanting. The fruit is low tone, savory, like some Cotes de Nuits Burgundy, with flavors of cured beef and huckleberry. Wonder if this will develop more complexity with a few more years...
