April 21, 2018 - Legends of the Spring 2018 (Portland, Oregon house of TW and AW): Medium red with pulverized Stella cherries and dried cranberries on the nose. Ripe figs and Sunburst cherries lingering long on the palate with a ripe finish of subtle Labrador Tea (now-2034)

December 16, 2011 - Bright garnet color. Reticent nose, until about 2 hours in the bottle - then mushrooms, cherry must. Shockingly fresh and young. Palate had lots of fresh flowers, bright fresh red fruit, fresh pomegranate, (mushroom and mushroom soup flavors with more weight came after 2 hours), great light acidity, soft small grained tannins. This was beautiful. Could last at least 5 years. When to open the next? Will the secondary characteristics improve the wine?

Update day 2: much more astringent, mushroom, Nebbiolo-esqe... It's gone. A great wine it was, on day 1 after a few hours of air...

    October 11, 2008 - DAWGS Offline - October 2008 (TexasZin's house in Garland, TX): WIML90

Tasted October 11, 2008 at an offline.

Served from magnum. Opened and served immediately. Light garnet to garnet color in the glass, slightly cloudy looking. Nose of potpourri, wet stones, a little rubber and some black berries. Flavors of black berries and black cherries. Medium acidity, medium tannins, medium body. Drink over the short term.

March 11, 2007 - Garnet red color with orange rim. The expreseeive nose was a complex interplay of cherry, musk/perfume, gunpowder, and earth. The delicate flavors, not to be confused with thin, of cherry, minerals, earth, and deft oak danced across the palate. Structurally, this wine has vibrant acidity, balanced fruit, and rounded tannins. The finish is of adequate length. Overall, it is an intellectural wine that does not display upfront fruit but is a blend of balance and complexity. We probably did this wine a disservice by not giving it adequate time to breathe and by not serving it with food.
