  January 20, 2012 - St. Estephe night. Lots of rocks, warm raspberries, herbs on nose. Light in color and full mature, flavor profile was more towards the rose. Good tobacco and minerals on solid finish. Only tasted once at table.

Palate was a little thin, mildly austere tannins showing nutty almond fruit. Short finish with mineral. Clearly over the hill, but still nicely expressive of place with good poise. A great wine to have in this vertical. Given more pleasure by the experience of the '58 vintage and sense of place and time than as a great wine.
