December 1, 2022 - This wine is a blend of Cab, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cab Franc lots that don't make it into Buccella's final blend. Aged for 22 months in 100% new French oak, this is a powerful wine, with lots of spice, black cherry, currant and blackberry fruit, and a velvety mouthfeel.

September 17, 2022 - The wine looks violet colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, blueberry, cranberry, raspberry, black currant (cassis), raisin, strawberry jam, cherry, mineral, mushroom, coffee, espresso, cedar, vanilla and sandalwood. It tastes like violet.
The body is medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity. -

August 19, 2022 - Second label but tasting like excellence. The wine is totally banging right now at 14yo. Blackberry, dark cherry, cassis. Menthol cigarettes, vanilla, dark mocha, leather jacket, tobacco, anise, violets, wet leaves. It is lush, full bodied, expressive and still with vibrant life and some acidity. Tannins are melting, fine and elegant AF. The finish is extended, lengthy and gorgeous. It just hangs on almost without end. Truly excellent!!
