  July 4, 2020 - Opened this bottle with concern that it could have been flawed from multiple moves, yet it was beautiful, intact and could have continued to age. Purple to ruby color. Tobacco, warm spice nose. After opening for an hour, tannins mellowed and wine was balanced against a charcoal grilled rib-eye steak main. This bottle was purchased from the winery in 2013 and has stood up despite its collector’s abuse!

  May 29, 2020 - I recommend you go visit this Chateau. Such an amazing territory and vineyard! Giant very old trees and beautiful house on the hill. The wines meet the level! Great stuff

  December 29, 2018 - Bottle is past its prime so the rating is not indicative of what it could be. Nose of cherry, rhubarb and oak. The pallet shows cherry compote, rhubarb, and hints of oak. Notes are trying to push through but the fruit has diminished considerably from what I can assume would show through.

  August 11, 2014 - Espresso, black and blue fruits, 5 spice, smoke and fennel notes are found in the nose. Polished in texture, modern in style, the wine is rich and silky, with a round, spicy, black cherry character.

  February 17, 2014 - Rich, fat, ripe, sweet, juicy, lush black raspberries, kirsch, earth, jam, pepper and smoky aromas are the perfect pair for the round, opulent textures and ripe flavors. There is a hint of oak, but there is so much fruit, it's almost buried. This blend of 37% Syrah, 32% Grenache and 31% Mourvedre is all about pleasure.
