  February 11, 2024 - Atsushi supps (McLeay Street Bistro, Potts Point): This played far nicer with food that I expected it would. Dark fruits didn't feel so baked and the alcohol was less obvious, soft tannic burr meant that its weight was more appropriate for chicken liver parfait which it ably coped with. Rather lovely.

  March 8, 2023 - Coravin fun - Burgundy (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Slightly baked black fruits; berries; currants; plenty of sweet spice and peppery prickle, slightly muddy. Juicy, medium plus intensity acidity, sweet black fruit, meaty notes, a touch of almost tomato leaf. Plenty of grippy but silk textured tannins in support. It's all a bit out of focus...long...Hmm

  December 26, 2020 - Boxing Day 2020 (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Baked black fruits tend to a slightly stewed quality, vanilla oak. The oak lends textured grip to the palate, the fruit is still subservient to this. Okay.

  August 1, 2018 - Coravin fun - old new arrivals (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Rich, ripe, Indian spice, slight tomato leaf, toast, polished oak, more red berry of me on the nose. And more of the same in the mouth, some tannic grip here that dries the mid palate, again a little warmth on the long finish. Very pleasant but time for me.
