  March 21, 2021 - Peaking now! This is a Cabernet drinkers Merlot that still has a lot of youthfulness to it. Dark red, lots of bold black fruit, cassis, vanilla, and a long lush mouthfeel with some nice tannins. We drank it up along with Kosta Brown, Pahlmeyer, and Peter Michael; not as good as them but got a nod of approval. I bought the last bottle. Also of note, I save a glass for the next night and this is a first night only wine IMHO.

  January 2, 2016 - Very Nice with a strip roast. Not a weak merlot at all with good berry and vanilla toast flavors. Pnp...tasted better at the 15 minute marke than the 2 hour mark...drink up now!

  June 21, 2014 - Popped and poured. Another great bottle. Just hitting its stride with notes of milk chocolate, cedar, a mix of black and red fruit. A very well balanced wine and a real pleasure to drink.

  January 6, 2013 - Bought this direct from the winery a few years ago. Popped and poured with friends at an afternoon lunch. Big crowd pleaser. Nice sweet red and black fruit that is well integrated with cedar and spice. Medium finish, soft mouthfeel, integrated tannins with just enough oak. Classic Stags Leap juice!!! Can't wait to pop the other bottles. Should drink well for 5+ more years, but drinking great right now.
