November 25, 2023 - I think this was not in a good place, due to travel shock or other flaws. Tasted a little bit too stewed and the fruit tasted off. Hope we have better luck with the remaining bottle.

December 23, 2021 - Still delicious, but either a bit over the hill or slightly flawed. The nose has a bit of barnyard tone at the forefront. The nose is dark cherries and leather. The palate is rich with more dark cherries and chewy and a good bit of bright acidity that almost is citrusy. A definite bite of spiciness along the way.

July 31, 2021 - Similar in quality and detail to the 2019 bottle, see my notes. Pretty outstanding Brunello juice.

April 1, 2021 - This bottle was really good, and seems to have come around nicely from previous sampling. It's a pretty classically styled Brunello, with balance and elegance. Like a lot of 2006s, the tannins were previously pretty tough, but this has now rounded into pretty nice form. I still think it is in the earlier side of its drinking window and should be good for several years. But certainly good to open now if you want to try one. Paired very nicely with food. Was a great deal at $30 when I bought it several years ago.

March 4, 2021 - Auction purchase. PnP. Cola, book leather, lesser red fruit going to black. A bit more mature than expected. 90-91 Bottle No. 13219
