October 18, 2023 - Dinner at Nostrana (Nostrana, Portland OR): There is a bit of VA on the nose at first. That blew off a bit after being in the decanter for about an hour. The nose is perfumed and red-fruited with tones of strawberries, raspberries, red cherries, crush rocks, violets, rose petals, leather, roasted herbs, and savory spices. The Full bodied feel is polished and sexy with tart, high acidity and silky, high tannins. There is a lushness to the feel from the vintage that leans into a lengthy finish while the structure has pulled back a bit. The nose has started to get into the mature phase with it hitting the upper register and ethereal qualities, but there is still plenty of ways to go.

June 2, 2023 - This is nice - and thank goodness for some vintage variation in Barolo, because I don't think I would have been motivated to pull this cork if it had been a 2006.

Ripe black & red fruit and some tar on the nose, light- to medium-bodied on the palate with good acidity. At 15+ years of age, this is drinking well. And even though it's from a warmer vintage, it's nicely balanced at this point and I think it's possible for it to improve with some additional time in the bottle - although, even if it doesn't, no real loss, as what it is right now is quite good.

January 1, 2023 - Bit awkward on puling the cork, but oh my goodness - after an hour of air the most fabulous wild strawberry note showed on the palate. Wowsa

September 13, 2022 - The color is translucent. The nose has red berries. On the palate, it's light and delicate. Very good with roast chicken. I enjoyed this a lot.
