July 24, 2013 - Not anything near the real stuff from this great winemaker

April 13, 2013 - Not a super fan. Quite tart and almost devoid ofroundness

February 26, 2012 - Unsurprisingly pale; low key, pleasant enough, a strnge mix of greeness & cherried fragrance; strange clanging texture, light, real verve, but a metallic finish. Perversely has some attraction. 15 hours on much quieter, but in summary - overall a sour sensation.

August 1, 2011 - Note from day two...as day one it wasn't showing much. Tart and crunchy cherry, plum fruit...soft and silky, with the darker Gamay giving it some sour cream blackberry pie notes. Very subtle wine....some nice rose and herb florals, licorice, and cola...well tarted with sour skin acidity...great silky mouth feel. Could use a bit more spice and complexity.....pretty simple and nothing special. Not a fan of the blend.

April 9, 2011 - Burghound in Asia Grand Tasting (St. Regis Hotel, Singapore): More Beaujolais than Cote d'Or, this was a simple, quaffable drink. Nice nose showed pretty cherries, some cola and a waft of flowers. Palate was very simple, a bit spritzy, with cherry cola, almost a bit of cough syrup notes, along with a pat of earth. Hardly any tannins to speak of, but there was lots of acidity that kept the wine super-fresh. Pleasant enough for what it is.
