Community Tasting Notes 3

September 9, 2016 - Having consumed several cases of this over the past 8 years or so, the last a couple years ago; tasted blind this night: modest mature nose of aged red fruit with that shoe polish thing working; a pleasant quaff but clearly on the decline from the previous bottles enjoyed.

March 14, 2013 - Color is dark, brownish red. Little bits of sediment floating around. Aroma is leather, dark fruit, earth. Medium body, but no legs. Initial dried fruit flavors give way to deep, meaty notes, with a savory, blood-like minerality. Still plenty of acidity and tannins in here. This could keep going for some time.

Looks like I got a good bottle.

December 17, 2011 - Another Saturday at Knightsbridge - mostly blind (Northbrook, IL): Tasted double blind. Bitter, harsh, never would have guessed this was from Burgundy.
