March 8, 2013 - 2nd bottle open. Even with some breathing still weak...okay bottle. If i were in a store would not immediately reach for it again.

November 29, 2011 - Jammy palate. One dimensional.

March 29, 2011 - A blend of 36% Grenache, 28% Syrah, 27% Mourvedre, 5% Tannat, and 4% Counoise. Deep purple color. Cranberry nose. tastes of blackberry, anise, violet, and cranberry. Alcoholic finish. Lacking balance.

March 6, 2011 - Petite Sirah is probably one of the most interesting varietals out there, but somehow this one came off sweet - a big, unwelcome departure from expectations and desire. Could only get blueberry on the nose. Sweet blueberry and boysenberry, sweetness became richer as it progressed, builds in some cinnamon and dried green Italian spices. Seemed out of place among what I would deem an otherwise great Cypher lineup.
