January 28, 2022 - Dark red (no bricking).
    Warm, rich, deep hot-year-Bdx aromas.
Low acidity, swolly kiss. Tannins still hidden by the fruit.
Has lost its attractive youthfulness, finally! But still isn't on its first leg as a mature wine.

Did well with all courses except the meat main dish, where the low acidity made it flaccid.

10 btls downed, 2 more to go.
    Then: case closed ;-)

March 16, 2021 - A bit faded and acids are dominant at the moment. Drank over two days along side 2 other West coast blends, and this was poorest showing of the three.

September 29, 2019 - Cellartracker in the flesh with Stefan and Nick (Tokyo Japan): Served blind. On the nose plums, polished oak, liquorice, wood glue, a little Ribena, loads of spice; both sweet and savoury, a tiny touch of leather, quite jammy. Fruity, jammy, alcoholically warm. Nice, well made but not for me. I guessed 2005 St. Emilion.

September 29, 2019 - High, sharp red-fruited nose, but then on the palate much more rich and tannic, with lovely red and dark medicinal berries. I still refuse to believe this is a meritage and not a rhone blend. But a big, rich, delicious wine that probably mellows out and opens up nicely on its second day.
