Dark red fruits, very concentrated, but much more open and expansive on the palate with the additional air. In a great spot right now but should hold for quite some time. A

November 19, 2023 - 1 of 2, excellent cork. Purchased in 2006 from a reputable UK merchant and stored since in my cellar.
Medium garnet core, pale garnet / mahogany rim. Aromatic, showing damson and plum fruit, soil, game - touch of antique furniture. Noble, complex.
Medium bodied, pure fruited, plenty of savour (game) here too - soft, supple tannins, fresh acids, very long, harmonious finish. This has lovely weight and prescence and a compelling combination of sweet and savoury flavours. Outstanding - drinking well but no hurry - now and for at least 10 years. Chapeau Thierry! -

August 26, 2023 - Basically a PnP, but the wine did improve modestly over the course of an hour. Certainly at its peak, which could extend for 2+ years but a lovely balance of ripe, but not overripe, black cherry, with a sauvage character to it. Very interesting and enjoyable. 30 second finish.
