May 19, 2023 - From my 55°F cellar to the bedroom at 70°F upright for about 3 hours, then decanted for exactly 1 hour and put back into the bottle to be consumed 1 hour later.

At first the wine was a bit harsh and wild, after letting breath for about 10 minutes in the glass everything came together and a well balance, multidimensional wine shined for the next 20 minutes or so. It went well with Filet Mignon and asparagus.

    Solid wine entering its peak…

January 24, 2023 - Double decanted for 30 min and start drinking about 1:15 hours later for a 2 hour spam.

This wine is big and bold, very tannic and tight with the short decant, definitely it needs at least 1 hour.

For tonight’s experience I’ll give it a 93+ rating, it has great days ahead…

April 18, 2022 - A To Kalon masterpiece! Don't expect a bottle that has been sleeping for 13 years to just kick butt and take names. This one took probably 90 minutes to come alive. Black licorice, truffle oil, BBQ short ribs all on the nose. The palate is dark fruited molasses, pipe tobacco, figs and black plums. Keeps you interested by always keeping you guessing. Gonna be a another 5-7 years before this one goes belly up but until that time? Enjoy it!!!
