April 18, 2021 - This was my first Benzinger. It was a pleasant surprised. Paired with a Filet Mignon and baked potato, it was fruit forward with black tree fruit, blackberry and blueberry. Tannins were medium, acidity medium. Great mouth feel. Simply very enjoyable. Would be great with or without food. This wine was in a very good place. If you have a bottle, you should consider opening it up soon. Enjoy!

December 25, 2018 - WOTN for some. A very good 2nd stop of our exploration of California Cabernet. From here we went to Napa. Paired with Gorgonzola Beef Tenderloin. Strangely, was the favorite of the ladies at the table. While the gentlemen preferred the '05 Napa I opened next. This might make sense as I would describe the profile as feminine.

December 27, 2017 - Definitely has that Sonoma softness and brighter fruit. A nice departure from Napa and went so well with Christmas tenderloin.
