December 31, 2017 - New Year's Eve Dinner (Mahesh Uncle's House): Light ruby, age-appropriate bricking; somewhat aromatic, mulchy red fruit; light bodied, medium-plus acid, simple red fruit, integrated light tannin; medium finish. Balanced but simple, mature. 85

May 8, 2015 - Perfect cork, no seepage.
    Significant bricking, as expected.
N: Nice cherry and sous bois,
P: velvet smooth, faded beauty. oak still a bit perceptible.

December 25, 2014 - Pleasant surprise that this held together so well. Deep color, bouquet more earthy than fruit or floral. Nice mouth feel, balanced. Dark fruits that became more complex an hour after opening. Moderate finish.

October 14, 2010 - Dull ruby fading to amber/pink rim. Gives the impression of a rather sauvage wine – not the grace that would typically be the hallmark of a Chambolle. Rustic rubber tire and spice nose (celery salt) with citrus zest. Reminds me of some Nebiolo based wines that I have encountered. Wine is cleaner in the mouth (just barely) and shows some richness, but there is a tart aspect that creeps down the middle from initial taste to finish – just doesn’t have the sweetness or intensity to cover up this flaw. I can drink it, but don’t really want to – just seems dirty with a strong acidic finish. (75)
