Community Tasting Notes 5

August 17, 2012 - After an extra year in my cellar this wine has really opened up. Right out of the bottle I found notes of ripe nectarine, white florals and almond paste with a mineral stone characteristic, which lingered in the background. On the palate, it was medium bodied with an expansive presence and brisk acidity keeping it fresh from start to finish. Ripe melon, lemony citrus and a bitter twang toward the close. The finish was simply fresh and fragrant on the palate, which was a perfect ending to this fine bottle of wine.

November 6, 2011 - Fairly expressive nose of white flowers, apples and citrus. Medium bodied with lemon curd, pears, and a honeyed finish.

August 8, 2011 - Great melon, subtle honeysuckle and fresh herb tones on the nose. With and impressive display of full-bodied flavor and acidity on the palate. Would happily buy this by the case. I'm 90 points on this.

June 29, 2011 - The nose was floral with honey, almond skins and green apple. On the palate, it showed a fuller body than the Annia with a similar acid profile. Flavors of nectarine and white fruits filled the senses and gained sweetness toward the back palate. The finish was fresh and mouthwatering, as the fruits turned to sour melon. This blend of chardonnay and ribolla gialla was very pleasing, right out of bottle, but really came to life with time in the glass.
