January 15, 2022 - Very dense with lots of dark berry notes. Some licorice and smoky oak notes. Good depth but too heavy in the moment. Wait a little longer and drink from 2025 - 2035. (IG)

November 21, 2016 - “Bordeaux 1959 – 2014 (blind)”, flight 3, wine 2. The wine was dark ruby in colour and offered baked fruit, fruitcake, chocolate and spices on the nose. On the palate the medium- to full-bodied wine showed dark fruit, dark cherry, bitter chocolate and spices, with medium-plus acidity, high but ripe and fine tannin, and very good length. Good structure; this wine should be long-lived.

November 21, 2015 - Our wine merchant friends from Saint Emilion suggested with give this reasonably priced, ready to sip now, Grand Cru Classe a try. Merci beaucoup, fellas, she is a winner! A blend of classic St. Emilion blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Thick ruby red on the eye...did you say opaque, yes, we did! Dark cherries, blackberries and some red berries on the nose. Juicy liquorice with toasted vanilla and almonds and a nice dose of smokey oak, medium bodied with subtle tannins on the palate. Sophisticated, elegant and fairly long finish. She is singing beautifully now, but we anticipate another decade or so of sheer pleasure from this excellent statement of small is beautiful!

June 13, 2012 - Tasted from three barrels. Fresh, red fruity. One had the best nose, one had the best flavor and the last was best structure. Guess that's why they blend. This should be a stunning wine when complete with great depth and character. This winery is so tiny they make the wine in the barrels from start to finish--no tanks etc. A real treat.

June 13, 2012 - Great deep nose of red fruit, cocoa and a little minerality. Smooth round and big in the mouth. Long finish with a decent amount of tannin. Love this little property.
