December 9, 2023 - Blackberry, dark chocolate, bitter herbs. This is tightly wound, give it sufficient air or cellar time. Still improving, I'll try to hold onto my other bottle for at least 5 years. Solid, but not currently worth the $50 I spent.

September 24, 2023 - Still has a fair amount of dark red fruit - cassis, red currant on the nose with some secondary flavors of dark chocolate, tabacco. Earthly notes and medium tannins that softened a little after about 2hrs being open. Medium-long finish with balanced tannin / acid.

91 vvPunkte www.vvwine.ch

October 29, 2022 - Dinner at Wah Lok. Big, exuberant, hedonistic. Full body. Sweet and fully ripe fruit. 14.5% abv. Has generosity and balance although still lacking in complexity. Good QPR. My favorite red vintage from this producer - this is the vintage when Olivier punches well above its weight class.
