    February 27, 2017 - Very delicious.

Fresh lively, with a background of warm oak and age. Reminds me that great Rioja shares a heritage with Bordeaux - even if this is 'new Rioja' (French oaked).

Drink now and over the next decade.

    14% ABV, sealed with cork.

December 22, 2016 - Loved this - paired with grilled pork tenderloin. Decanted for ~ 1 hour. Didn't take notes. Dark red color (dark for a Rioja with ~ 11 years of age). I was expecting a modern Rioja given the color, but this was in the middle and leaning towards old school given the nose (cedar / dirt / blackberry / tobacco). Really nice. 92-93+

September 14, 2015 - Beautiful open knit Rioja with pure fruit sweetness. Burgundian.

Delicious now but surely will improve further over the next 5 years.

    14% ABV sealed with cork.

May 30, 2015 - Wow! This was a surprise, man. I thought I knew what I was in for; but no way. Is this Chianti? Is this dark Burgundy? Both. Yet, it is Rioja purely. Nose of blood, iodine, earth, ferns, kirsch, burried forest berries. Ruby eye. Suave Rioja attack of low tannin, balanced acidity (lower), all equal. Mmm. A little cedar wood in the background. The fruit comes together and coats the tongue with the light tannin. Long mid palate and lingering fruit clench and dusty aromas. Thumbs way up on this!!
