December 4, 2011 - Westwood Country Club Annual Holiday Wine Tasting (Westwood CC, Vienna VA): blood orange/grapefruit notes dominate with some grassy undertones. quite drinkable but not inspiring.

May 7, 2011 - Saturday Walk Around Tasting at The Gourmet Shop, Columbia, SC 5/7/2011: At first the nose was almost closed. What we did get was soft, more like a Chenin Blanc, than Sauvignon Blanc. The color was pretty clear by New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc standards. On the palate, it was surprisingly tame and civilized. There was only a touch of that famous grassiness. It was much more than medium bodied. More pineapple and melon than usual, with citrus and tropical fruit. Not a simple wine by any means, each sip brought another little flavor surprise. As a matter fact, this wine tastes better at close to room temperature. Only a mild dose of granny smith apple acidity. All in all, elegant, subtle, and tasty.
