  February 16, 2013 - The Iberian Peninsula (My apartment): Given how affordable Vinho Verde tends to be, this $13 specimen really should have delivered more. Despite the spritz, the acid on this was a little low, making it pretty insipid, despite the otherwise pretty well-balanced palate. If there's one thing a VV shouldn't be, it's flabby. A pleasant quaffer but not worth it.

  May 7, 2011 - (11%) 80% Loureiro and 20% Trajadura – Fresh, crisp with a light spritz followed by citrus and acidity. Short finish. Not bad but a bit plain. So many better Vinho Verde’s out there that I would steer clear of this one. I prefer (http://bit.ly/jtu12M) the Trajarinho and Muralhas (http://bit.ly/ev3zCu) which are both more Alvarhinho based. Both can be had for the same price tag. With summer around the corner looking forward to more of those two in the months ahead…
