December 22, 2013 - Christmas & New Year 2013; 12/20/2013-1/1/2014: Dense full ruby. Bright nose with dark red fruit. Intense. Follows through to the palate - really quite intense through the attack. Proper density of flavour here. Mixed red fruit, a little spice but overall this is very pure and transparent. Not super complex or long, but this shows it's class. ****

January 29, 2005 - Académie des Cinquante Burgundy Tasting (Jan Tabak, Bussum, the Netherlands): Develops beautifully in the nose, oak and fruit, excellent depth, masculine, spicy; not at ease with itself on the palate, difficult and young - a spotty adolescent.
