April 24, 2016 - Tannins have mellowed. Soft with still a fair amount of complexity I had it with a Rosemary and pepper marinated tri-tip steak. It went very well. It may be past its peak but it is still an excellent wine

January 16, 2013 - Way beyond its year!

December 25, 2012 - Still tannic after being past its prime. Not too strong but with a little spicy taste at the end.

January 20, 2010 - This is a really nice wine. no sharp edges and quite nice with food. Had is with chicken with a bacon and onion reduction. Had some dark fruit on the nose with little noticable alcohol. Quite a nice drink for the $20 or so I paid for it. Glad I have a few more.

September 6, 2009 - Thin purple in color. Strong, impressive aroma of berries and (strawberry) jam. Flavors are a bit more muted: Blackberries, blueberries, and oak. Nearly all of the tannins have fallen away ( I know, because I poured them down the drain). This is a decent wine, one that I don't suspect was meant to be aged 10 years, but it has held up well. However, this is pretty much it. I wouldn't expect to much more with additional aging.
