January 9, 2019 - At this point, give the wine at least a two-hour decant. It’s wrapped tightly around heavy black-blue fruit, spice, leather, menthol, medium tannins and a very long finish. Quality, yes, if not overly exciting. Good, status-level Napa Cab.

August 18, 2017 - Society of Wine Educators Conference- Napa Valley Through The Decades (single blind); 8/18/2017-8/19/2017: Deep ruby-black color. Aromas of cassis, rosemary, currant, tobacco, leather & cedar- expansive. Concentrated black fruit on the palate, with concentrated secondary cedar and spice notes. Fine, full density and body. Bold and powerful throughout. Thick, fine tannins. Full deep finish. Excellent. Needs time.

January 31, 2014 - Gorgeous color, tears stained, aroma intense cabernet sauvignon grape, palate very mineral and earthy, ripe black fruit, balanced acidity and tannin, finish very long and intense. Actually can drink now yet best in five years.
