June 29, 2015 - This bottle showed no hint of age. No browning around the edges. Full fruity taste

    March 22, 2010 - deep purple color
on the nose there was a nice aroma of both napa fruit and some plum maybe a little port
on the palate there was a nice balanced core of fruit and acid with little tannins remaining
this wine should be opened soon; decent quality despite the fact that the cork had been soaked through
gained some weight in the decanter after an hour

November 21, 2009 - Mötley Crü does '90/'91 California Cabernet Sauvignon (Steve Williams): 1990 Joseph Phelps Backus Vineyard: May have been one of the best wines, but I failed to take a formal note and this ended up getting drained before I could go back. I remember it tasted very young, and I did jot down that I would have believed if somebody told me it was ten years younger. Strawberry, plum, some cedar, and overall a nice package. Didn't get the total airtime of the Dalla Valles, however so final judgment is reserved.

October 28, 2009 - Deep red color, little sign of bricking. Red fruit laden nose, dominated by cassis and plum with hints of sweet tobacco and cedar. On the palate, this is ripe, lush, round, and full of cassis, plum, and a hint of blackberry and blueberry. Harmonious, integrated, and drinking a pointe. A great showing for a wine purchased at release and moved a few times. Delicious.

June 21, 2009 - Bit of green pepper up front. Fading, hints of stone fruit but and an earthy core dominates. Hints of cedar on the finish.
