  August 14, 2022 - Fill and colour was good, the cork crumbled into a pile of sand upon opening. I strained into a decanter and the wine was superb when we got to it a couple of hours later. There were some mushroom and truffle notes along with Indian spices. It was rich and heady, with an intense core of ripe red fruits. There was some Turkish delight and tar flavours. The finish had some balsamic tang and lift and length was prodigious.

  January 17, 2021 - Ouvert et servi aussitôt.
  Dès le départ, le vin s'est montré élégant, harmonieux, soyeux, sans aspérité.
  Des saveurs sur les fruits rouges, un peu de sous-bois mais aucun excès d'acidité comme on rencontre souvent chez les vieux vins du Piémont.
  Le lendemain, le fond de la bouteille présentait les mêmes caractéristiques mais avec encore plus d'harmonie.
  Difficile de lui donner 50 ans.

  December 5, 2020 - Slow ox for about 6 hours, another commendable performance despite a terrible cork and having to filter the wine into a decanter. Such elegance, lovely rose aromas, fine texture, abundant secondary and tertiary notes but still ample fruit and a sweet finish.
