August 3, 2023 - Sorry no specific notes but everyone loved it and ranked it with 92-93 scores. I can say that it's held up quite well in its savory but still rich style. Pretty much my favorite consistently from Jaffurs.

March 29, 2020 - Not sure who comes up with the drinking windows but this wine has years to do. Pop and pour today. Drank over 2+ hrs, deep rich, not over the top. Satisfying but not as complex as I’d prefer. But definitely worthwhile,

December 21, 2019 - Decades of Decadence - "The 9's" (Buellton, CA): Aromas of saddle leather, braised meats, black cherry and crushed stone. Compact and concentrated palate, rich and intense, with smooth and round texture. Needs time.

December 19, 2019 - Decades of Decadence -- the '9' Edition (Our Favorite Spot in Buellton, CA): Dark berries, slightly perfumed, with a touch of olive. Came off as very young, with loads of oak and a green streak that would seem to suggest more time is needed. That said, I liked its energy and intensity.

January 19, 2019 - Our last bottle, but this wine will go years yet. Black raspberry, pepper, ash, anise, cola. Long finish. Really nice wine and in its prime.
Needs about an hour to open and then drinks well for several hours.
