  November 25, 2013 - Dark rich purple robe (robe seems appropriate for this plush wine). Lots of immediate ripe fruit with just a hint of sweet vanilla-y oak. Noticeable alcohol. At 14.8%, this is high for Vidon but moderate for the vintage. Consequently, this has a heaviness without a lot of acidity to lift it. Finishes medium long with a sensation of sweetness. Delivers considerable pleasure with all that velvety, gushing fruit. Don't look for complexities here.

  January 16, 2013 - 2 Days in the Valley- Day 1 (Willamette Valley, OR): nose: Certainly shows off some of the warmth of the vintage with some upfront tones of dark red fruits, dark berries, and some spice tones as well.
  
  taste: There is good balance to the fuller body and it does have some lower acidity. It isn't flabby and has some flesh to it with tones of dark red cherries, dark berries, dark red fruits and some spices.
  
  overall: This was a nice pinot that is easier drinking. While it has lower acidity, it isn't flabby but should be drunk earlier rather than later.

  April 19, 2012 - Mountains to Metro (Heritage Ballroom in the Governor Hotel): Wow, what an incredible difference from the 2010 3 Clones!! This is very much darker in color and definitely overall character. This smells like jam. The palate is soft and tart, but there's tons of alcohol that's immediately noticed. This is monster stuff that I had to dump out.

  November 13, 2010 - Random tasting in the Willamette Valley with Ken: Only bottled a few weeks ago, this is showing quite well, and the best of the three bottle vertical. All these wines were hovering around 14.7-14.8% alcohol, though they hid it quite well. This one showed a really rich and complex nose, showing salmon, red berries, and winter spices. Very pleasing balance on the palate, nice structure. Soft and elegant on the finish, good structure, and really nice balance of elements. I think this would do well as a long term ager. 90+
