April 1, 2022 - Absolutely fantastic. Great nose of unmistakable Burgundy funk, red fruits - raspberry, cherry, mineral, crushed rock and earth. Lush with great acidity and a balanced long finish. Fantastic. Possibly at its peak - drink now - 2026

January 31, 2021 - Lovely lifted fresh red berry nose with a spice top note. Quite a dark colour for a 2008. Again red fruited palate but very acidic and unbalanced unfortunately. Shortish finish. Like a lot of 2008s excellent in parts, but hard to find examples that balance the fruit with the acidity.

February 21, 2019 - More muscular and brooding than expected from Volnay and the 2008 vintage. Got more interesting with 45mins + in the decanter and drank perfectly with roasted duck. Just short of being perfectly cohesive and balanced, maybe due to the vintage. Fruit doesn't completely come together but is still pleasing and enjoyable. Would age another 2 - 4 years.

August 5, 2018 - Upon opening this was a surly, meaty wine that was shut down hard and a bit clipped on the finish. The next day it had blossomed into a thing of beauty. There was a strong scent of violets and it was loaded with crunchy red berry fruits. There was a line of minerally acidity and it finished with good cut.

December 11, 2016 - KT's house. Easy to drink. I like it and will buy it.
