    February 14, 2015 - I like that they have a Napoleon and a Wellington
    malty nose, nutty
    very dry, nuts, almonds
    salty
    very long

July 16, 2011 - Waterloo revival: a potent and pungent Napoleon is not rival to that darker, turbid and self-confident Wellignton PC. A vegetables and ample nose versus wet towel smells. Fot a keen on PC like me, Wellington is clearly a superior sherry but the Emperor still rules my nose. Even knowing the result, love this battle.

August 26, 2005 - Deep golden color. Dusty, nutty aroma. Crisp & dry in the mouth. Quite nice.

May 5, 2001 - An attractive light (to medium) tan with orangey depths. Very full, very attractive nose with clear PX notes. Lightly raisined on the nose, but perhaps tending to caramel scents. Good attack: really quite fresh. Very dry. Fills enormously in the mouth with flavours of sweetish caramel and raisins, but only flavours, as this is really quite aggressively dry. Very hot and spicy on the tongue at the finish and long after. Remarkable length - but all coming from that hotness. A very good example, with real complexity, but for me it is merely an interesting wine to have once in a while.
