May 5, 2015 - Lovely bottle of Burgundy. The wine is a burgundy red with a touch of cloudiness. Still plenty of fruit and the flavors are mellow and integrated. Cherry, cola, earth, smoke. Medium finish. Went really well with grilled salmon. I would say this wine is in prime time. Drink em if you have em. I have been disappointed my fair share with Burgundy but not this wine.

March 28, 2015 - My first Roty (I think). The '03 vintage characteristic was fairly obvious here with the low acidity, ripe dark fruits and slight hint of alcoholic heat. The vintage character overpowered the terroir but could pinpoint this either as Vosne or Gevrey. Overall quite a good drink although a tad disappointed that this esteemed producer could not produce a more balanced wine in this vintage.

February 27, 2015 - At Le Provencale with the group. Decanted for 90 min. Not much sediment. A lot of funk in the nose (strong barnyard) that blew off two hrs later turning fruity in a good way. Medium body with nice acidity and long finish. A nice burg at this price range.
