Community Tasting Notes 3

March 9, 2012 - Decanted 1 hr. ahead. Medium cherry-plum color. Nice nose of oak, cherries, pomegranate, and mushroom notes. Light to medium bodied on the palate, with juicy acidity; simple earthy flavors lead you to think this is a fuller-bodied wine, creating a bit of a disjunction. Finishes with iron filing notes over minimal tannins. A pleasant bottle, not exactly memorable but certainly drinkable.

November 29, 2011 - Very harsh. Not my style.

September 12, 2011 - PnP through Nuance Wine Finer. Ruby color. Cherry lozenges on the nose, with a little woodiness. On the palate, cherries, vanilla, wood. Very fruity. No earthiness. Way too sweet for my palate. I like Opolo wines, but this style doesn't appeal to me. Too "new world". 84pts. Aloha!
