August 11, 2021 - Among more mature wines this stood out already for its violet intense colour as being the youngest and was easily identifiable single blind. There was great torque and salinity on the lush and rounded exuberant cherry fruit but it is of course a primary wine today and hence showed fairly monolithic in more mature company. To be revisited in 5-10 years...

October 31, 2020 - Fantastic wine, and yet it’s not my favourite grape. I like it now but may improve with more cellaring. Great fruit and beautiful nose.

March 6, 2020 - La Paulée de New York - The Verticals (Eventi Hotel - New York NY): Walk around tasting, in 12/10/09 vertical. Bright red cherry and berry with glorious spice, and equally fantastic textures in every regard. Delicious now with upside, there is so much ere. One of the outstanding wines of the entire tasting. 94-95 point potential.

January 17, 2020 - During a Paulee dinner, so only brief impressions. Ex domaine bottle from the wine maker. A stellar showing, not far off the Richebourgs we had at the vertical the night before. Haunting nose of dried meat, spices, game. Light and elegant palate but great tannins too to provide structure.

March 10, 2018 - Some Top Shelf Burgs (My home): Ruby/deep purple in color. Pretty. On the palate, there is a nice spiciness to this wine with sandalwood, nutmeg and other baking spices. Also some nice cherry fruit with a bit of cherry powdered drink. On the palate, this has a tingling acidity and perhaps some trapped CO2 but that blows off quickly. Nice cherry fruit. Some depth. Light tannins but they are a bit drying. Nice finish. I would think this has some room to improve. It didn't budge a whole lot in the glass. The bottle was opened an hour before the tasting. The group did seem to like this a bit more than I.
