Community Tasting Notes 3

November 4, 2015 - Decanted for two hours - taste : still needed to open up.
After three hours: fruit in Cherry comes forward and evolves favourably as time goes by - four later it becomes well balanced and a wine that states ....why would you buy any other?
This is a testament that time for many wines impact overall taste and rating.
Enjoyed it with roast duck and linguini with garlic and morels.

August 10, 2012 - Of the modern and in a way unispiring version of barbarescos. The wood is very evident, overpowering and so is the concentration of fruit. LAcks the "lightness" and purity of barbaresco. Ok to drink and on the young side but we are not sure time will improve this. 85

May 10, 2011 - Nebbiolo Prima, #61 One of the lighter wines on the day when considering concentration of fruit. This in and of itself isn't the wine's shortcoming, but at the end of the day, there is also a lack of acidity, throwing the structure and balance off. Too bad, too, because the feminine perfume notes and the elegant cherry aromas are very attractive. Drink thru 2018, approx $40
