November 9, 2013 - I think this is a good balanced CA take on a Bordeaux Superior. You get the same fruit and dry wood tannins, just a bit bigger in all dimensions. More classic, in a sense, then a lot of the lower end Cabernet from CA, as the fruit doesn't really dominate over the structure.
Update: After two days, this is even better. Really enjoyable. Still the fun darker notes, which could be the 2008 smoke mentioned on the back, but better integrated and still overshadowed by the structure. I think the best 15% cab I've had.
