May 22, 2021 - After several hours of air this opened up nicely. Medium to fading dusty tannins, some cassis and dried berry fruits, spices. Nice typical aged Bordeaux style .... not outstanding, but decent complexity and length to finish.

January 19, 2021 - Popped and poured and the initial reaction was very uninspiring.....but oh my!!! ...gave it 2-3 hours to breathe and this baby was strutting its stuff! this wine is no where near past its best and has many more years of pleasure ahead of it. A beautiful ruby red color with hints of garnet at the edges. The nose still has plenty of intensity. The tannins are well integrated but still linger. There is still enough acidity to let this baby sleep for several years before consuming your final bottle. Dark fruits and berries are mixed with hints of tobacco, liquorice and smoke. A very pleasant surprise and look forward to keeping the last few bottles safely stashed away for the future.

September 15, 2015 - Pauillac (Thean's Place): One hour decant, what a surprise, drinking beautifully now. Med+ body, balance and decent med+ finishing.

September 4, 2015 - Très pauillacais. Fin et élégant. Bouquet sur le cassis et le bois précieux. Des tanins bien enrobés. 5iem cru classé digne de son rang.

January 4, 2015 - Smokey, spicy berries, leaf, cassis and tobacco scents make up the mature aromatics. Medium bodied, soft and ready to drink, the wine finishes with sweet, spicy olives and cherries.
