March 9, 2021 - Certainly much better than any of the professional reviews would indicate. It is in a very good place. Had a 2 hour decant and it really sings. Good fruit, well balanced, delightful. When I go to the Bordeaux section of my Cellar, and want a very good Pomerol, I am tempted by the 1982 Château La Conseillante, the 1982 Vieux Château Certan, and even the 1982 Château Le Bon Pasteur. However I can save them for another day by grabbing a bottle of 2004 Château La Croix St. Georges from the case and have a very good Pomerol experience.

June 15, 2018 - Bouquet of violets and cassis. Still with plenty of black fruit complimented by pencil lead, licorice and herbs. Good acidity and length with violets emerging again in the finish. Delicious. Ready to drink and close to its peak.

May 6, 2018 - An easy afternoon with close friends (@ PdV): Garnet red with a brownish rim. In the bouquet some pleasant barnyard, vanilla, cedar and sweet licorice. On the palate a complex and silky wine with a good balance between acidity and sweetness, chocolate and soft tannin. The wine is perfectly ready now and has a good length.

February 15, 2018 - UWS (@ JB): In the bouquet chocolate, dark berries and good oak. On the palate also red berries, good fresh acidity, some pleasant sweetness and chocolate. The wine is completely ready now.

July 1, 2017 - An easy afternoon with close friends: In the bouquet smoke, toast, licorice, and caramel. On the palate the same impressions plus dark berries like cassis, lovely acidity and sweet impressions. Some vanilla and soft tannin. Complex and luxurious wine. Fully mature now and the next few years. Don’t wait too long!
