November 5, 2017 - This one still has some life left in it. Initially, I was a little disappointed, but after a couple of hours of air, this really surprised me. A very Burgundian pinot, with delicate notes of red fruit (strawberries, tart cherries) and perfumey floral notes. Quite pleasing.

July 7, 2015 - Still wonderful, qualities as per previous notes. The body is becoming a bit light, and this vintage is on the waning side of the peak.

December 23, 2014 - Decanted. Drank alongside a 2005 Olivier Leflaive Pommard. Pomegranate red almost all the way through, with the slightest hint of bricking at the edge. Seemed like it was very closed at first. On the palate there was good acidity that transitioned into a somewhat grainy tannic finish. Opened up with some herbal notes on the nose and some bright red fruits together with some spice. Thr tannins became much less grainy as it opened and it smoothed out on the palate. Added some pepper on the finish too. By the end, this had more secondary odors, like some damp earth. Definitely has some life left, but, imo, was not as good as the Leflaive Pommard.

October 1, 2013 - Magnificent nose to finish. While the tannins are silky smooth, the full body and good amount of fruit says that this could continue to improve with some aging.

May 7, 2013 - Drank over two nights, with and without food (seemed to show better by itself, food seemed to overwhelm it; although, I noticed that someone threw in BLT's in the food pairing tags and I could see that working real well: a little bit of smoke from the bacon coupled with the freshness of the lettuce and acidity of the tomatoes). At any rate... dark maroon color with signs of bricking in the meniscus. Slow and thick legs. The nose had lots of interest and nice complexity: coconut oil, oak, dark berry fruit (cherries), and maybe a little citrus on the edges. Initial palate is fullish and round - has that big, ripe, fleshy 2003 fruit. Once in the mouth it broadens with some fairly drying tannins and smokey fruit. There isn't the same complexity on the palate as on the nose. There's a nice bite and density on the back palate (it lingers for awhile). The fruit seems a little tired on the finish (time to drink up?). So, it would seems that the nose was the highlight of this wine, then it slowly went downhill from there (nose was mid nineties; palate was high eighties; finish was low eighties).
