May 15, 2019 - Mostly recovered now from a recent plane seat travel cold, this was fantastic tonight with trout. I'd spent the last couple weeks enjoying albarino producers I don't see in the USA while traveling in Spain. Almost all of them less than 23E on the wine list. What a value wine is in Europe! It was seafood and albrino nearly every night in gorgeous plazas and quaint venues. I dig albarino, its salinity and zesty citrus but I missed the true greatness that is chablis. Even tonight's humble AOC Chablis rocks. My favorite white wine bar none! Pale green gold color. lovely floral aromas. Lively but not remotely bracing with terrific minerality and citrus. Perfectly balanced! My last of six of these. Wish I had six more as this shows no signs of falling off at age 9. Paid $22 drinks like $50+.
