  September 2, 2015 - Finally opened my one bottle. Deep, fresh looking purple. Interesting aromas--oak and forest. Lot of body, not much fruit. Adequate acidity, but a lengthy bitter-tinged finish. I've often wondered why there seems to be no critics' coverage of this vintage, when the other vintages are well reviewed. Perhaps a collective kindness?

  September 27, 2014 - Deep purple. Fantastic nose with creme brûlée ,candied cherry, forest floor. On the palate this tasted a but out of balance/ tight to me with redwood and pencil lead taking main stage. Still a bit tannic and wound up. Should get better in a couple years, for now very good but not excellent...
  
  Update: Moved from 89-90 after bottle was open for 2 hours. (Should've noted above was pop n pour). Does open up but still not enough balance between tannins/ fruit/ acid to push this any higher
