December 31, 2021 - 1 of 2 left from a car repurchase a few years ago. This one showed its age more than many of the others. Was not dead, but was past it’s Best Buy date.

June 15, 2019 - 1979 vs 1985; 6/15/2019-6/16/2019 (SLC): Still drinking beautifully. Gold in color, and showing some signs of it's age, but still has great acidity to balance it out. Marzipan, baked apple and some petrol and Orange oil aroma. Could survive a while longer, but drinking so well right now..

April 30, 2019 - Brought these to a Wine dinner. Showing signs of age, but drinking beautifully. Golden color, but drinks showing less oxidation then you would expect considering the color. Great acidity, hints of Saffron, apple and almost lilac on the nose.
Paired perfectly with the Flammekueche -

December 11, 2018 - a beautiful gold. especially upon first opening, and too cold as well, there was a bitterness and hollow mid palate covering up otherwise pleasing and fine stone fruit.
as it opened and developed it became more giving and balanced, but all said i'd say age has not been helping matters.1 person found this helpful Comment -

October 13, 2018 - Riesling with Martin: First bottle of Riesling of the evening, was consumed with charcuterie. I drink a lot of Riesling, but usually German, my first experience with 20+ year old dry Riesling. Gold, with hints of browning when opened. Shows signs of oxidation, but nothing more than you would expect from a wine of this age. Hazelnut, and brioche nose with hints of bruised apples and pears. This taste much older than a Off-Dry style German Riesling does at the same age, not bad, just different.
As it opens up a little the fruit shows through a little bit more. Still mainly pears and apples with a little marzipan and a dusty note.
This wine is still very much alive, but also taste it's age. If you still have I would suggest drinking up in the next 2-3 years.
