Community Tasting Notes 3

August 26, 2012 - Rich chocolate orange nose. Silky mouthfeel with lots of bramble fruit. More restrained than some but still new world in character making interesting comparison with a Cahors (80% malbec). Opinion was divided which went better with the middle eastern inspired Lamb dish.

October 24, 2011 - Refined, textured, gorgeously silky mouthfeel. Juicy dark fruits, some oak at the end, brambliness and topsoil through. This is such a winner for the money.

August 4, 2011 - This is a cracking bottle of Malbec. Vibrant ripe fruits and licorice on the nose. Blackberries, nicely tamed oak on the palate. Chocolatey mouthfeel. Medium bodied. This wine is very well made and strikes an interesting balance between New World deliciousness and Old World detail and refinement. Extremely good value for money.
